  • How can I check Tmoney usage history and remaining balance?
    You can check your Tmoney balance using WOWPASS mobile app. If you have a phone without NFC function, you can still check your balance at convenience stores or blue Tmoney kiosks installed at subway stations.
  • Can I use Tmoney (transportation) function with the WOWPASS card?
    You can use the Tmoney function with the WOWPASS card but it needs a separate top-up from the WOWPASS card top-up.
  • What should I do if I lost my WOWPASS card?
    If your card is registered in the WOWPASS app, you can temporarily pause/unpause your card. (Settings --> Card Management --> Pause). Then, another person who may have picked up your card is not able to use it. If you found your card, please unpause it from the app. If you could not find your card, please visit a WOW Exchange kiosk and re-issue your card. You can still use the card balance of your previous card. If your card is not registered in the WOWPASS app, please contact the customer support.
  • How do I top-up the Tmoney (transportation) balance?
    You can top-up the Tmoney balance at convenience stores or blue Tmoney kiosks installed at subway stations. It is not possible to charge T-money with WOWPASS card, and you need to charge with KRW cash, so please prepare KRW cash to some extent. We recommend you to exchange cash or withdraw cash from your WOWPASS card balance at a WOW Exchange kiosk.
  • Where can I find WOW Exchange kiosks?

    A WOW Exchange kiosk is installed in Gimpo Airport, and Incheon Airport currently does not have available WOW Exchange kiosks. If you arrive in South Korea via Incheon Airport, please do not purchase a Tmoney card and use an one-way subway ticket. Then, you can issue your WOWPASS card with a WOW Exchange kiosk, in popular subway stations such as Seoul Station, Hongdae Station and Myongdong Station.
  • How can pre-registration event participants receive benefits?

  • What is WOWPASS service and who is it for?

  • Do I need to sign up to use the WOWPASS service?
    In order to use the WOWPASS service, a simple membership registration is needed. If you scan your passport and agree to the membership terms and conditions at a WOW Exchange kiosk, you can easily register and have your WOWPASS card issued. We highly recommend that you download and register WOWPASS app in order to 100% enjoy the service. You can sign up in 30 seconds.
  • Is the WOWPASS service free?
    The WOWPASS service is free of charge for all basic services except for a few cases such as a card issuance and cash withdrawal.
  • Can I use the WOWPASS card online or as easy payment method?
    The WOWPASS card is available for offline payments only at the moment.
  • Where can I use the WOWPASS card balance?
    You can pay anywhere in Korea such as shopping mall, cafe and restaurants, if card payment is accepted. (South Korea is a card society!) * Tmoney can be used in only subways/bus/taxi/convenience stores, and WOWPASS card's IC chip can be used anywhere in South Korea.
  • If I cancel my payment, how will I receive the canceled amount?
    In case of canceled payment, the canceled amount will be received through card balance. You can check its record history if you have your card registered in the WOWPASS app.
  • Can I receive notifications when I use the card?
    If your card is registered in the WOWPASS app and agree to receive notifications, you can receive real-time notifications in various cases such as payment, top-up etc.
  • Can I use the WOWPASS card outside of South Korea?
    The WOWPASS card is available to use within South Korea only.
  • Is there a card usage limit?
    You can pay using the card only upto your current card balance amount.
  • Is there a card top-up limit?
    Due to relevant government standards, a maximum balance of 1,000,000 KRW can be topped up at once. Please refer to below for other limits: - Daily maximum top-up/currency-exchange amount: Up to 2,000,000 KRW - Weekly maximum top-up/currency-exchange amount: Up to 10,000,000 KRW.
  • Where can I withdraw cash from my card?
    Yes, you can withdraw cash in KRW from your card via a WOW Exchange kiosk. However, you need to download the WOWPASS app, register your card, and enter 8-digit code to the app which will be displayed to you through a WOW Exchange kiosk. Then, you are able to withdraw your balance in KRW. A maximum withdrawal amount is 100,000 KRW at a time, with a withdrawal fee of 1,000 KRW. Unfortunately, we currently do not support cash withdrawal in smaller unit. So please use your WOWPASS card in such cases. It is difficult at this point to support cash withdrawal in a foreign currency other than KRW. Also, cash withdrawal through a bank transfer is not supported currently, but will be supported in near future.   • How can I top-up my card?
    You can top-up your WOWPASS card with foreign or Korean currency at a WOW Exchange kiosk. We currently do not support top-up service using a credit card or bank transfer. In addition, Tmoney balance should be separately charged with KRW.   • What is the WOWPASS membership?
    The WOWPASS membership is a membership system that you need to join when issuing a WOWPASS card for the first time at a WOW Exchange kiosk. The registration is possible with a passport scan only, and the initial membership fee is 5,000 KRW. We do not charge annually, and we will return more than 5,000 KRW with great exchange rate, Tmoney, various cashback/coupon events. Come join us!
  • Can I issue multiple WOWPASS cards?
    Currently, only one card can be issued per person. If you lost your card, you can pause it and issue a new card.
  • What should I do if I lost my WOWPASS card?
    If your card is registered in the WOWPASS app, you can temporarily pause/unpause your card. (Settings --> Card Management --> Pause). Then, another person who may have picked up your card is not able to use it.   • When is WOWPASS card's expiry date?
    The card is valid for 6 years from the card manufacture date. On a separate basis, the card balance is valid for 6 years from the last top-up or card reissue date. So, even if the card is expired, you can continue using your balance if you have your card re-issued.
  • Is there a WOWPASS service fee?
    We charge service fee in case of 1. First membership registration fee: 5,000 KRW 2. Cash withdrawal fee: 1,000 KRW 3. Card re-issuance fee: 3,000 KRW We do not charge for currency exchange, top-up, payment as well as an annual card service fee.
  • How can I issue a WOWPASS card?
    You can issue a WOWPASS card via one of the WOW Exchange kiosks located in South Korea. 1) Visit a WOW Exchange kiosk 2) On WOWPASS menu, select <Get a New Card> 3) Choose your preferred currency to top-up your card 4) Verify your non-Korean passport 5) Agree to WOWPASS membership terms and conditions 6) Insert top-up amount in your preferred currency's cash 7) Receive your WOWPASS card (Please insert it once into the machine to activate it) You can check kiosk locations and card issuance availability via: https://www.wowexchange.net/exchange/location/list?lang=en_US
  • What are the advantages of using the WOWPASS app?

  • Can I still use the WOWPASS app even if I change my phone?
    Even if you changed your phone, you can still check the registered card's balacen etc if you log-in using the same account.
  • Is it a must to register my WOWPASS card to use it?
    You can still use the card for card payments, top-up, Tmoney function and cashback rewards. However, you will not be able to withdraw cash, use verification function for card re-issuance, balance check, usage history etc.

  • How can I use cashback and coupons?
    WOWPASS offers brand rewards of two types: cashback and coupon. In case of cashback, cashback is automatically applied if you make a payment at designated brand shops. In case of coupons, you need to check a coupon you would like to use with the WOWPASS app and have the coupon image downloaded. Show it to the staff of designated brand shops, then you can get discount of the amount shown on the coupon. For details, please check each reward's details page of the WOWPASS app.
  • Where can I receive cashback?
    The cashback amount will be immediately credited to your WOWPASS card balance. If you have your card registered in the app, you will be notified that the cashback has been received.
  • Is the WOWPASS service a reliable service?
    The WOWPASS service an innovative financial service officially appointed by the Financial Supervisory Commission in November 2021. The service is run by Orange Square, a fintech company with the electronic financial transactions license. (Registration number: 02-002-00084). Orange Square already operates an unmanned currency exchange service for more than 300,000 foreign tourists. Orange Square has officially partnered with Seoul Transportation Corporation, which operates the Seoul subway, and T-money, Korea's No. 1 transportation card company.
  • How can I delete my account from the service?
    In case of WOWPASS app, you can delete your account from Settings. Even if you deleted your account from the app, you can still use WOWPASS service and the card's remaining balance. If you would like to unregister from the WOWPASS service entirely, please contact the customer support.
